Keeping a record

When it comes to photography, I’ve noticed that some people are project based and others, like myself, just take pictures.

I can see the value in projects. Many of my favourite books and zines in my extensive collection are project based.

The zine I published last year came from my daily walks in the 2020 lockdown. It wasn’t intended as a project, that came later. As a result I now have a printed record of the way I saw my environment during that time.

I imagine going forwards any collections I publish will be time based. I guess this means I do work in a project oriented way, I just do it in reverse.

This post is part of a series of posts in which I write and publish a blog post every day throughout November 2021. There are no constraints on the project and the posts don’t neccissarliy have any connection to each other.

See all of the posts in the 30 days of writing project.
