Listening to music

Published on 16 November 2021

I’ve been listening to music for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I didn’t have many tapes or CDs, but the ones I had were well played and I knew them all by heart.

These days, whilst music is more accessible than it’s ever been, it’s mostly consumed whilst doing other things.

Recently I bought myself a pair of really good headphones and have been trying to find some time every day where I put them on, close my eyes and listen to an album in it’s entirety.

This practice has reminded me why I loved music so much. At the end of a work day, being able to tune out from the outside world and get lost in an album does wonders for my mental health.

This post is part of a series of posts in which I write and publish a blog post every day throughout November 2021. There are no constraints on the project and the posts don’t neccissarliy have any connection to each other.

See all of the posts in the 30 days of writing project.
